Boys basketball: Andrews leads Suncoast to victory


Torrin Andrews scored 15 points, leading the Suncoast boys basketball team to a 64-48 victory over Jupiter on Friday night in Riviera Beach.

Chrisnel Francois added 12 points for the Chargers (2-0).

Caleb McClain scored 10 points for the Warriors.

Forest Hill 66, Coconut Creek 56: Tristan Stephens had 22 points and 12 rebounds and Mehki Millender added 14 points and six assists as the Falcons (2-0) defeated the Cougars in West Palm Beach.

Boca Raton 70, Boynton Beach 54: Max Demeus made three 3-pointers and scored 27 points and Cade Long added 20 as the Bobcats overpowered the Tigers in Boca Raton.

Benjamin 80, Somerset Canyons 58: Jordan Travis scored 31 points and Ben Lubarsky added 26 to lead the Buccaneers past the Cougars in Boynton Beach.

Santaluces 59, Palm Beach Gardens 43: The Chiefs (2-0) defeated the Gators (0-2) in Palm Beach Gardens.

St. Andrew’s 69, American Heritage 34: Jammy Pierre-Louis had 27 points, four assists and five rebounds, Marcus Pelissier added 14 points and five rebounds and Ben Milstein contributed six points and seven assists as the Scots (2-0) handled the Stallions.

Coconut Creek-Monarch 67, Grandview Prep 64 (OT): Nadav Naim led all scorers with 22 points and Cross Pratapas added 18, but the Pride fell to the Knights in a Kreul Classic matchup in Coral Springs.

Wellington 73, Park Vista 32: Bryan Williams scored 17 points, and Linton Brown added 14 points and six rebounds to lead the Wolverines past the Cobras. Texan Moulton pitched in 12 points and 10 rebounds for Wellington.
