Basketball: Wellington girls top Jupiter

Sydney Jones scored 18 points, helping the Wellington girls basketball team edge Jupiter 46-45 Thursday night in Jupiter.

Jupiter fell to 2-3 on the season.

Dwyer 63, Forest Hill 10: Nateria Freeman scored 18 points as the Panthers (3-6) coasted past the Falcons in Palm Beach Gardens.

Palm Beach Gardens 52, John I. Leonard 39: Leticia Luna scored 16 points, but the Lancers (6-3) fell to the Gators in Greenacres.

Palm Beach Central 68, Seminole Ridge 27: Alana Anderson scored 13 points and Najia Woodie added 10 points and 11 rebounds as the Broncos (2-3) coasted past the Hawks in Wellington.

Lake Worth 56, Park Vista 34: Kiara Felder had 36 points, eight rebounds and four assists, and Elizabeth Point-DuJour added 11 points as the Trojans defeated the Cobras in Boynton Beach.

Atlantic 57, Spanish River 49: Esther Balogun had 15 points, 12 rebounds and eight blocks, and Amari Allen added 14 points as the Eagles defeated the Sharks in Boca Raton.

West Boca Raton 68, Boynton Beach 16: Kai Gillion led all scorers with 15 points as the Bulls overpowered the Tigers in Boynton Beach.

Berean Christian 57, King’s Academy 52: Jessica Nodell scored 34 points as the Bulldogs held off the Lions (3-3) in West Palm Beach.


Cardinal Newman 66, Inlet Grove 45: Armani Hayes led all scorers with 21 points and K. J. Fitzgerald added 16 points and seven assists as the Crusaders (3-0) stopped the Hurricanes in Riviera Beach. Nixon Ciceron scored 16 points for Inlet.

Boca Raton Christian 56, Berean Christian 47: Michael Walsh scored 20 points, Jordan Nitto added 17 and Anthony Gaudette contributed 14 points and 18 rebounds as the Blazers (2-2) got past the Bulldogs in West Palm Beach.

Somerset Canyons 60, Benjamin 55: Dylan Hirsch scored 16 points, Michael Quan added 15 and Jose Passius 12 as the Cougars got past the Buccaneers in Palm Beach Gardens. Elem Kaiir led all scorers with 26 points for Benjamin.

Atlantic Christian Academy 63, Davie-Westlake Prep 40: Tarik Jarrett had 15 points, five rebounds and five assists and Kyle Feit added 13 points as the Saints (1-1) defeated the Griffins In West Palm Beach.
