FHP investigating fatal crash on I-95 in Fort Pierce

Baseball: Wellington handles Palm Beach Central


Luke Panakos pitched the first four innings and Sawyer Losey the final three, leading the Wellington baseball team to a 5-2 victory over Palm Beach Central on Thursday in Wellington.

Panakos struck out one and also scored two runs at the plate while Losey struck out five and also collected a hit.

Angelo Brunelas contributed two hits and scored a run for the Wolverines.

Park Vista 3, Santaluces 0: James Marinan homered and struck out four on the mound as the Cobras (4-1) shut down the Chiefs in Lantana.

Atlantic 3, Boca Raton 2 (8): Alexis Vega scored the tying run in the seventh inning and Jaymes Sullivan scored the winning run in the eighth as the Eagles rallied past the Bobcats in Delray Beach.

Seminole Ridge 6, John I. Leonard 2: Andrew Anaway was 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs and Dustin Reuicleu went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs as the Hawks defeated the Lancers (1-4) in Greenacres. Jorge Rivera was 3-for-4 with five steals for Leonard.

Oxbridge Academy 9, St. Andrew’s 2: Jordan Bustabad was 2-for-4, Adam Shilling added a hit and two RBIs and Frank Guelli struck out five in four innings as the Thunderwolves handled the Scots.

Glades Day 18, Palm Beach Lakes 3: Christian Ellison was 2-3 with two RBIs and Colton Pope had a hit and drove in two runs as the Gators (3-2) dominated the Rams in Belle Glade.

Lake Worth Christian 7, Atlantic Christian Academy 2: Roy Glaum was 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored; Vinny Picardi went 3-for-3 with two RBIs and Zjean Wayne had a hit and drove in three runs as the Defenders (2-1) defeated the Saints in Boynton Beach.
