Baseball: Somerset Canyons earns shutout


Ryan McCall pitched a complete game with eight strikeouts, leading the Somerset Canyons baseball team to a 9-0 rout of Berean Christian on Thursday in West Palm Beach.

Carter Brady was 2-for-2 with two RBIs and three stolen bases and Justin Anglin went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a steal for the Cougars (7-3).

Forest Hill 11, John I. Leonard 7: Michael Cuellar was 2-for-5 with a double and three RBIs, but the Lancers (2-7) fell to the Falcons in Greenacres.

Glades Day 15, Boca Raton Christian 5: Brody Bredall was 3-for-3 with four RBIs as the Gators (7-4) overpowered the Blazers in Belle Glade.

St. John Paul II Academy 10, Oxbridge Academy 3: Tommy Mosca struck out five in five innings as the Eagles overpowered the Thunderwolves. Jack Hay had a hit and two RBIs and Timmy Silk tripled and drove in a run for the Eagles.

Tallahassee-Chiles 6, Palm Beach Gardens 0: Nick Pesto had a double, but the Gators fell to the Timberwolves late Wednesday in Palm Beach Gardens.
