A program that Florida State had handled well in recent years got its revenge on Friday night. Boston College rolled past the Seminoles 35-3, its first win in the series since 2009.

Florida State found itself in an early hold as they trailed 21-0 with 6:40 left in the first half. A Ricky Aguayo field goal toward the end of the second was all the scoring for the Seminoles as their defense had no answers for the Eagles, who have now scored 121 points in its last three games.

Meanwhile, it was a frustrating night for the offense as well. The Seminoles struggled to run the ball as they managed just 64 yards on the ground. James Blackman only put up 102 yards on 11 of 26 passing and threw an interception as well.

Here’s what coach Jimbo Fisher had to say after the Seminoles fell to 2-5 on the season:

Jimbo Fisher: “They lined up. Kicked our tails. Outplayed us, outcoached us. Everything.”

Fisher: “It’s not that they’re not fighting. They’re not executing. That’s where we coaches have to coach better and do better.”

JF on moving forward: “We’ve got games to play. We are going to practice hard and try to play better.”

JF mentions goal-line stand in second half as sign that players are still fighting. Defense made three stops inside 1.
