Miami guard Bruce Brown out against Boston U. with apparent wrist injury


Miami will be without one of its top scorers as it faces Boston University at home on Tuesday evening.

Sophomore guard Bruce Brown, a 11.7 point per game scorer, is out for the Hurricanes’ game against the Terriers. Brown’s left wrist was seen in a brace, although it is not known when the injury was suffered and how severe it is.

Update: Bruce Brown Jr. is wearing sweats and is NOT warming up for Miami. The sophomore guard is sporting a black brace on his left wrist. No official word on Brown Jr. from UM.

As a freshman in 2016-17, Brown scored 11.8 points per game and handed out 3.2 assists per game. He is currently the Hurricanes’ second-leading scorer behind Dewan Huell, who has 14.1 a game.

Miami is 7-0 and ranked No. 10 in the AP Top 25. It is seeking its first 8-0 start under Jim Larranaga.
