LOOK: Vanderbilt unveils new helmets, uniform combination for game vs. Kansas State

Vanderbilt released its uniform combination for this weekend’s game against Kansas State on Twitter on Wednesday, as its players will be wearing black jerseys with black pants. Nothing too unusual there.

However, the Commodores will have something new as part of their uniform. And it’s pretty exciting.

New golden helmets.

These are some slick looking helmets, and they’re sure to get a positive reception from Vandy fans this weekend. Take a look:

It looks like these new helmets are here to stay, as Vanderbilt football’s account refers to the combination as “the new classic look.”

The Commodores debut these helmets on Saturday, when they host Kansas State for a 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff on ESPNU.
