Florida State football: WRs Auden Tate, George Campbell’s status unclear for game against Miami (Fla.)

Florida State has been a little banged up as it has struggled to a 1-2 start. Now, the status of a couple of its wide receivers looks to be in flux for Saturday.

The Orlando Sentinel’s Safid Deen reports that Auden Tate and George Campbell are fighting through injury, with Campbell “questionable” for Florida State’s game against Miami (Fla.) with an injury to a core muscle and Tate still nursing a shoulder injury suffered against #24 NC State.

Tate has played in every game thus far this season, making two catches for 41 yards against #1 Alabama in Week 1 before adding nine catches, 138 yards and a score against the Wolfpack on September 23. During the NC State game, Tate separated his AC joint, but he did play against Wake Forest last Saturday and was held to a pair of catches.

Campbell was held to a single catch against Alabama and made three for 85 yards against NC State. However, he had a single catch against the Demon Deacons a week ago. Campbell missed all of 2016 with a core muscle injury that needed surgery after appearing in just the season opener against Texas State in 2015.

Florida State and Miami (Fla.) square off at 3:30pm ET on Saturday in Tallahassee.
