With an above average number of storms predicted for the Atlantic hurricane season this year, the message from emergency officials was a simple one: Prepare early.
“We do need to take hurricane season very seriously because I have, in less than a year, two storms that have caused traumatic damage in my community,” Michelle Damone, of the Indian Trail Improvement District’s Board of Supervisors, told an audience gathered Wednesday evening for a forum at The Palm Beach Post.
