Florida Power & Light Co. improvements
in Palm Beach County 2006-2013
Upgraded and strengthened 72 main power lines including the grid serving every major hospital and acute care facility and all the 911 facilities and emergency operations centers.
Inspected approximately 113,600 poles for strength. Poles were upgraded or replaced as needed.
Trimmed tree limbs and vegetation along 11,890 miles of power lines.
Inspected 569 main power lines and equipment using advanced infrared cameras.
