Stuart resident Miguel Mendoza, a 23-year-old roofer, won $8.45 million in Florida Lottery’s $10,000 A Week For Life scratch-off game.
Mendoza, who has five brothers and a sister, opted to get his payment as a lump sum of $8.45 million, according to a Florida Lottery news release.
He told lottery officials he doesn’t plan to change his lifestyle much.
“Nah, I’ll be the same,” he told lottery officials Tuesday.
Mendoza lives near the store — Smart Dollar in the 400 block of Southeast Monterey Road — where the ticket was purchased.
The store gets a $20,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
