Dan Quinn was proficient enough at both hockey and golf as a youngster growing up in London, Ontario, that he considered a career in both sports. He chose hockey, and went on to play more than 800 NHL games with eight teams before retiring in 1997 at age 32.
Since then, his success in golf has raised questions as to whether he might have made it on the PGA Tour had he chosen that route. But even as he prepares to defend his title in the American Century Celebrity Classic in Lake Tahoe next weekend, the longtime Palm Beach Gardens resident insists he has no regrets.
