While the big names muddled their way to mediocrity, three guys who have never had any significant success at the Masters were at the top of the leaderboard after the first round Thursday.
Sergio Garcia, who gave up on the idea of ever winning at Augusta National a year ago, posted a six-under-par 66 to share the first-round lead with unknown Australian Marc Leishman, with long-hitting Dustin Johnson one shot back at 67.
