Jack Nicklaus on Tuesday reiterated his belief that Tiger Woods will break his record of 18 major victories in a lengthy news conference marking the 50th anniversary of his first Masters win in 1963.
“From this point he’s got to win five majors, which is a pretty good career for most people to start at age 37,” he said, referring to Woods’ current age. “Still, he’s got to go do it. He’s played very, very well this spring. If he wins here, that would be a very large step toward regaining (his) confidence.”
