The identity of the mysterious caller who started the Masters episode now referred to as “Dropgate” has finally been revealed.
Sports Illustrated golf reporter Michael Bamberger wrote in a story published Wednesday on SI.com that the TV viewer who called Masters rules chief Fred Ridley to point out that Tiger Woods had made an incorrect drop during Friday’s second round was Champions Tour golfer David Eger.
