Becoming the youngest entrant in next month’s U.S. Women’s Open wasn’t nearly as important to Nelly Korda on Thursday as being able to qualify at age 14. That’s a year younger than her sister, Jessica, who now plays on the LPGA Tour.
“I’ll rub it in her face,” Korda said with a giggle Thursday after finishing off rounds of 71 and 70 to become low medalist by two shots at the local qualifier at Bear Lakes Country Club.
