The NFL’s free agency period begins at 4 p.m. Tuesday, and it’s hard to turn on the TV or surf the web without reading about the Dolphins and their chances of landing Mike Wallace, believed to be the best receiver available and the speedy answer to Miami’s scoring woes.
But Wallace is hardly the only free agent who could catch the Dolphins’ interest. A league source said the team was active in meeting with the agents of several free agent receivers at the scouting combine two weeks ago, and the Dolphins have several other holes they may need to fill with veterans, including tight end, cornerback and offensive line.
