Miami Dolphins’ aggressive defensive plan pays off in final seconds

One of the video clips that Miami defensive coaches showed the players last week involved neither the Dolphins nor their opponent Sunday, San Diego. It was of the “Hail Mary” play the previous Sunday on which Cincinnati forced overtime against Baltimore on a 51-yard TD pass in the final seconds from Andy Dalton to A.J. Green.

“Baltimore had just three guys rushing and let Dalton sit back and throw,” cornerback Nolan Carroll said. “It doesn’t work to do that.”
