1. The offensive line held up as well as could be expected. We knew all about Jonathan Martin and Richie Incognito being out long before the game started, so when center Mike Pouncey was ruled out due to illness it looked as if Ryan Tannehill would be under assault all day. But Tannehill got decent protection and, after a slow start, the run game (104 yards) became productive. Any O-line without three starters is going to have its rough moments, but the group held its own.
2. What’s happened to Cam Wake? After his overtime sack of Andy Dalton in the end zone for a safety capped the win over Cincinnati, there was a sense that Wake’s early-season injury problems were behind him. But Wake didn’t get much done against Tampa Bay last week and was only a factor late Sunday, giving him 6.5 sacks for the season. The defense needs more production from the player many consider to be their best.
