The South Florida Super Bowl Committee has decided that if Miami-Dade residents are essentially going to determine the fate of the proposed renovations to Sun Life Stadium, then downtown Miami should draw the greatest benefits.
In a meeting with NFL officials last weekend in New York, the committee offered a proposal that Executive Director Rodney Barretto called a “paradigm shift” in emphasis that would focus all the Super Bowl activities on lower Biscayne Boulevard.
