The rain drummed down hard in the final minutes of practice Tuesday, as sudden an introduction to South Florida training conditions as any Miami Dolphins newcomer could want, and the passes just kept flying out of Ryan Tannehill’s right hand.
Former Steeler Mike Wallace, the free agent wide receiver everbody craved this offseason, caught a few of them. Tight end Dustin Keller, always a Jet until now, snagged a few more, and so did Brandon Gibson, who had seven receptions against Miami last season while playing for the St. Louis Rams.
