Don’t worry, Gators fans: Jeff Driskel won’t be leaving the Swamp for Fenway Park anytime soon. But if football doesn’t work out for the University of Florida’s starting quarterback, he now has a backup plan.
Driskel, a junior, announced Thursday that he has signed a contract with the Boston Red Sox, who drafted him in the 29th round of the Major League Baseball draft last month.
