Florida Atlantic University’s Faculty Senate has weighed in against the school’s $6 million stadium-naming deal with GEO Group, saying the agreement with the private prison contractor has hurt the school’s reputation.
The Faculty Senate voted 25-9 on Friday for a resolution that formally opposes the deal and cites concerns about Boca Raton-based GEO Group’s management of facilities in the U.S. and abroad.
