There were no rowdy high-fives or splattered suds in the Miami Heat locker room late Wednesday. Everyone was too exhausted to celebrate a 4-1 series win over the Chicago Bulls in the Eastern Conference semifinals, and too focused on the higher climb ahead.
“This is probably one of the toughest close-out games we’ve had and I’ve had in my career,” said LeBron James, who made 12 of 15 free throws to thwart Chicago’s series-long habit of intentionally wrapping him up on an assortment of breakaway opportunities and other easy chances.
