U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson on Wednesday urged local municipal leaders to press federal lawmakers to support a bill that he said would provide relieve to homeowners facing skyrocketing flood insurance premiums.
Speaking to members of the Palm Beach County League of Cities, Nelson said there was support to pass the bill in the Senate, but noted that the provision would likely face challenges in the U.S. House of Representatives.
