Sen. Marco Rubio’s high-profile collaboration with Democrats on an immigration reform bill has drawn criticism from many on the right, but a new poll suggests his stance isn’t hurting him with Florida Republicans or winning converts among Sunshine State Democrats.
The Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday morning shows 51 percent of Florida voters approving of the way Rubio is handling his job and 35 percent disapproving. That’s not much different from March, when Quinnipiac found 48 percent approval and 33 percent disapproval for Rubio’s job performance.
