Nelson dishes on Clinton candidacy, Snowden and NSA leak, aid to Egypt

Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson said he has no plans to run for governor next year and predicted that Vice President Joe Biden won’t run for president in 2016 if Hillary Clinton launches a White House bid.

In a luncheon speech to the nonpartisan Forum Club of the Palm Beaches on Monday, Nelson also defended the National Security Agency’s gathering of phone and e-mail records from American citizens and said former NSA contractor Edward Snowden committed treason when he leaked details of the data collection program.
