A suburban water and road maintenance district’s decision not to negotiate with West Palm Beach on water supply led to an angry exchange this week between Mayor Jeri Muoio and Commissioner Kimberly Mitchell.
The board for the Indian Trail Improvement District, a taxing district whose responsibilities include storing and discharging water in The Acreage, voted 3-2 last week against opening negotiations with West Palm Beach about the city utilities department’s proposal to build a pump station in The Acreage that would allow Indian Trail to send excess water to West Palm Beach.
