He didn’t bestow a Charlie Crist-style man hug, but Republican Florida Gov. Rick Scott on Tuesday applauded at least part of an economic proposal by President Barack Obama that drew jeers from other Republicans.
Obama proposed cutting corporate income tax rates in exchange for more government spending on jobs programs. Scott didn’t comment on the overall bargain but gave a thumbs-up to the tax idea and suggested Obama took it from Scott’s playbook.
