Florida’s GOP-dominated Legislature on Friday largely reversed the elections law it and Gov. Rick Scott created two years ago, one that critics say contributed to an election meltdown in large counties last year.
In one of their final acts of the 2013 legislative session, the House and Senate sent Scott a measure that expands Florida’s number of early voting days and hours as well as early voting sites in an attempt to address long lines and up to eight hour waits encountered by voters around the state, including in Palm Beach County.
