Motorists pulled over in Florida may soon be able to pull out their smartphones.
Gov. Rick Scott and the Cabinet on Tuesday unanimously approved letting state highway officials move forward with plans to allow drivers to provide proof of insurance on smartphones, tablets and other electronic devices, instead of handing over the usual paper copy.
