A research institute and two nonprofit hospitals on Friday agreed to join forces for a partnership to test vaccines.
As part of the arrangement, the Vaccine & Gene Therapy Institute of Florida, a nonprofit institute in Port St. Lucie, gets access to tissue samples and patients at Martin Health System and Jupiter Medical Center. Officials from the three organizations touted the partnership as a sign of progress for the region’s biotech industry.
