Francis “Chappy” Adams III, a force in the local real estate industry, had alcohol, Valium and cocaine in his system when he fatally crashed in Palm Beach Gardens two months ago, the Palm Beach County Medical Examiner said Friday.
“Clearly he was above the legal limit,” Dr. Michael Bell said, adding that he had no doubt the substances contributed to the single-car crash that ended Adams’ life at age 48.
