The letter-writer who implied that New Yorkers’ bad influence was part of the reason Kravis Center patrons rudely leave performances early (“Kravis patrons move at New York tempo”) has obviously not been to many New York City theater performances.
While New Yorkers are respectful enough to stay for the entire show, they also know that upon leaving they will be vying for the few cabs in demand by many other needy souls. Walking to a bus or subway is a simple, everyday happening, so many choose that route after a performance.
