This letter is in response to the article “Advocate raises three issues with juvenile justice in Florida” that The Palm Beach Post published Feb. 24.
While I appreciate you highlighting the need for change in Florida’s juvenile justice system, the article failed the balance test by omitting objective data that illustrates the significant strides our state has made. Moreover, there was no mention of the Department of Juvenile Justice’s “Roadmap for System Excellence,” which outlines the challenges Florida faces in transforming juvenile justice and lays out a plan to build on Florida’s success.
