Regarding the article “House panel OKs ban on texting while driving,” not only should texting be prohibited while driving, but conversing on a cell phone should be as well.
This bad habit has gotten out of hand. All too often, traffic is held up by a person driving slowly in the left lane while talking on a phone. Now that we have hands-free devices, why can’t people do the right thing and use them instead of holding the cell phone with one hand and driving with the other?
