No 3-year-old child should be left without active, responsible, adult supervision, even momentarily. Little Ja’riyah Jones could just as easily have run into the street while Mom “went inside to get water” for the eight children in the yard. She could have been killed by a car. Or, she could have wandered down the street and been kidnapped. Or, she could have been maimed by a child accidentally poking her with a stick. Or, or, or.
