To avoid waiting to turn onto the road to the school entrance, parents detour through the Northtree neighborhood — whose residents do not appreciate the intrusion — and perform illegal maneuvers to drop off students who sometimes have to cross busy roads in the dark. Harried parents blame the school’s poor design, and they have a point.
