There will be no insurance rate relief anytime soon for Florida drivers.
On Tuesday, Senate Banking and Insurance Committee Chairman David Simmons, R-Altamonte Springs, said he would wait for a court ruling before making any move to change the no-fault system that requires drivers to buy $10,000 in Personal Injury Protection coverage. The legislative session ends May 3. The court ruling in question almost certainly will not come by then.
