U.S. Reps. Patrick Murphy, D-Jupiter, and Robert Pittenger, R-N.C., last week got top billing on a bipartisan statement of principles “to secure the fiscal health of our nation” that more than 30 freshmen delivered to House Speaker John Boehner and Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.
Whether the speaker and minority leader are capable of recognizing principles, bipartisanship or freshmen is open to question.
