The next big decision regarding the Everglades is up to the board of the South Florida Water Management District. Whatever happens, though, Gov. Rick Scott will get the credit or the blame.
The decision is whether the water district officially will become a partner with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in the Central Everglades Planning Project. The decision most likely must come at the board’s July 11 meeting. The reason is money.
