David Levy resigned last year from the Palm Beach Gardens City Council to run for the Palm Beach County Commission. Having lost to Hal Valeche, he’s running for the city council’s open Group 4 seat in the March 12 election. “I think there were a lot of good things I could have done on the county commission,” he says. “A lot of those issues still affect the city.”

Mr. Levy, an environmental consultant, opposes intense development and would like to acquire the property for water conservation if other governments help pay the cost.
