Sometimes, a compromise that pleases no one is a good compromise. Sometimes, as with Jupiter’s non-decision last week on closing sidewalks into Clocktower Hammock, it’s just bad policy.
Clocktower Hammock residents wanted all four sidewalks closed, blaming outsiders for loitering, trash and the threat of break-ins. The “outsiders” from Pine Gardens North — you know, “neighbors” — opposed any closures. Staff recommended closing two, and the council decided to close one.
