Editorial: FAU should not charge students who surrounded president’s car

Florida Atlantic University President Mary Jane Saunders wouldn’t say last week why she was “quite sure” that there wouldn’t be a repeat of the March 22 protest when students surrounded her car to get her attention. But now we know. FAU threatened to charge them with violating the student conduct code.

The action is petty. It’s another public relations blunder.
