Tonight, this commission will discuss the $65 million, eight-year trash-hauling contract extension that commission gave Waste Management. That commission ignored a recommendation from the Palm Beach County Office of Inspector General to finally bid the contract, which Waste Management has held without competitive bidding since 2001 and now might until 2021.
