The Florida Legislature’s House Government Operations Subcommittee last week approved a bill that Chairman Jason Brodeur, R-Sanford, characterized as making “minimal changes” to the Florida Retirement System (FRS), which covers state employees, many county employees, first-responders and teachers.
In fact, Rep. Brodeur referred to the bill’s “minimal changes” three times before the meeting was four minutes old.
