Renovating the 1927 high school in Boynton Beach is all but dead. The city commission should not worry about saying last rites over the idea next month.
For many years, historic preservationists have urged Boynton Beach to restore the building adjacent to city hall, and we understand their passion. Too little of Palm Beach County’s past remains. At some point, however, preservation passion must meet financial reality. The reality is that there is no credible proposal and no credible financing for the high school project.
