Palm Beach County Court Judge Barry Cohen has agreed to a public reprimand for actions that don’t justify a reprimand.
Last May, interim State Attorney Peter Antonacci asked Judge Cohen to recuse himself from a murder case because the judge had publicly criticized aspects of Florida’s criminal justice system. Citing eight examples of Judge Cohen’s supposed “prejudice” and “personal bias,” Mr. Antonacci claimed that the prosecution would not get a fair hearing.
