The money Martin County pays the Business Development Board — $625,000 with a 3 percent yearly increase — should stay the same. So should the 10-year length of the county’s contract with the BDB, now in Year Four.
That’s BDB Executive Director Tim Dougher’s opinion. He concedes that the BDB could provide more accountability and more transparency, through recording or televising its meetings.
