Residents in the Lands of the President are torn on a proposal that would rezone their neighborhood into a 119-acre commercial zone with hotel rooms, resort cottages and a spa — the largest redevelopment project in the city since CityPlace.
The city commission will vote Monday on whether to rezone the neighborhood of condominiums and single-family homes, which lies north of Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard and east of Interstate 95 and is home to U.S. Rep. Lois Frankel and Major League Baseball Hall of Fame member Hank Aaron.
